A New Beginning

When I was 9 years old,  a friend of mine told me that Santa Claus gave her this AWESOME present; all I had to do, is to write down what ever happened during my daily life (not a day to be missed otherwise Santa wouldn’t grant your wish) in a diary. She told me that Santa would come on Christmas eve and read the diary, and from that diary he will see whether I’ve been good or naughty throughout the year.

I believed her.

And so that’s how I began writing an entry in my diary at the age of 9. That was when I first had any experience in writing something which is not related to schoolwork. But of course, after a while (a few years actually) I realized that this method didn’t work as I didn’t get what I asked for during Christmas. Well, I know better now.

As a teenager, I was introduced to the world of blogging.  What was ‘hip’ back then was that many people blog about what happened to them in their daily lives, both the good and the bad…in my world, I call it an online diary. In my opinion, I always thought that it was a silly thing to do as the whole world can see what you are writing on your blog. Isn’t a diary supposed to be a secret? Hence, blogging never really appealed to me because I don’t feel like declaring my problems to the whole world.

Fortunately, I know more about blogging now. Therefore, this is the FIRST ever official blog that I own!

I am very excited to have this opportunity to blog about some of the GREATEST movies introduced to us by Dr. Goh Chee Leong in our Psychology in Film class!
